CIFP Bridge Program®
The CIFP Bridge Program® is designed for those students who are eligible to write the CFP® examinations administered by the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) [i.e. Financial Planning Examination Level 1 (FPE1) or Financial Planning Examination Level 2 (FPE2)]. This program is for students that may have completed their studies some time ago, but have yet to complete the FPSC examinations on their path to CFP certification.
Students who wish to gain entry to the CIFP Bridge Program must have graduated from another accredited academic institution and be eligible to write or rewrite the CFP examinations. To graduate from the CIFP Bridge Program, students are encouraged to complete the Program Review and Evaluation to adequately prepare for the four-hour Program Examination and ultimately, the CFP examinations.
The CIFP Bridge Program consists of the following four courses: Retirement Planning, Risk Management and Estate Planning, Strategic Investment Planning and Income Tax Planning followed by the Program Review and Evaluation. Successful completion of the four-hour Program Examination is mandatory in order to graduate as a student of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning.
CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and CFP logo (with flame) are certification marks owned outside the U.S. by Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB). Financial Planning Standards Council is the marks licensing authority for the CFP marks in Canada, through agreement with FPSB.
